Meet Kipps!
Unusually we have decided to cast this all-important role in advance. So we’re pleased to announce that Haydn Boxall (seen here as Cosmo Brown in Singin’ In The Rain) will be returning in the lead role as Arthur Kipps in Broxbourne Theatre Company's next show, Half a Sixpence in May.
Would you like to join him onstage? The show needs a further 6 males, 6 females, 6 children aged about 9 to 13 and a large chorus. All of these are to be auditioned as soon as Jack and the Beanstalk is over. So don’t delay, check the membership web pages for arrangements, casting details and further information about joining Broxbourne Theatre Company.

Lynsey Britton
(right) gives hints to Broxbourne Theatre
Company’s Nicole Taylor (Belle) and Jeff Hammond (the Beast) in preparation for their roles in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. |
Broxbourne Theatre Company’s cast had a pleasant surprise when a West End star paid a visit to their rehearsal of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
Lynsey Britton was in the cast of the original London production at the Dominion Theatre and played Belle for part of the run.
A former member of Jason Theatre School in Broxbourne, Lynsey first appeared as one of the Jason Kids in Broxbourne Theatre Company’s pantomimes and had also performed in several of their musicals before turning professional. Her other West End appearances have included roles in Cats, Carousel, Calamity Jane and as Adelaide Adams alongside Patrick Swayze in Guys and Dolls.
Discussing the rehearsal with the cast afterwards, she said it had brought back many happy memories of the London show and was looking forward to seeing the finished result when it opens in January.
Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is a show for all the family at Broxbourne Civic Theatre in Hoddesdon from 7th-15th January. Seats are still available for most performances but early booking is recommended. Full details are on the web site at www.BroxbourneTheatreCompany.co.uk
