Broxbourne Theatre Company
Registered Charity No. 1181847

is one of the Lea Valley's leading amateur theatre companies. It presents two shows each year at the Spotlight Theatre (formerly Broxbourne Civic Hall) in Hoddesdon.

For 2024 these are the pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk (which was presented in January) and the Musical Sister Act which will be presented in May 2024.

All shows are presented to the best possible standard, using top quality scenery and costumes, as the photo album proves.

Shows have been presented in Broxbourne for more than 45 years, but the history goes back to 1943 when revues, pantomimes and musicals were presented in Enfield under the former name of ETCEA.

Broxbourne Theatre Company is affiliated to the National Operatic and Dramatic Association. In addition to the Best Musical for 2013 and 2015 and Best Production for 2013 it has also won NODA's Best Local Pantomime award six times since the award was introduced in 2007.

New members are always welcome (onstage or backstage).

We constantly need new members aged 16 or over to maintain our standards for the future.

For those who want to audition for future shows, we start work on the next pantomime at the end of September 2024 and will be particularly looking for new men -- though new ladies are welcome too. As a member you would be able to audition for both principals and chorus parts. We'll again be welcoming new members in January 2025 for another Musical.

We always need people to help backstage or in the foyer and auditorium during our performances in January and May each year. We are likely to need new members to help backstage with the musical Sister Act which is will be performed in May 2024 and again for the pantomime in January 2025

We also need help throughout the year to publicise the shows, so one way or another there should be a place for you. Join us now and be part of the team, or just come along to a performance and see us from the auditorium!
